Arts Fair on the Square features artists from all over the country including local and regional who offer a wide variety of art types and styles.

Performances

Music and Dance performances throughout the day! Performances include modern dance, barbershop quartet, belly dance, rock, and more.

Art Centers

Bring out your inner artist at one or both of our Interactive Art Centers. We provide supplies and a place for you to make art. All ages welcome!

Windfall Dancers

Windfall Dancers is Bloomington's oldest community modern dance collective. Windfall is comprised of a community of people who love to dance and are always working to make sure that Bloomington has a space where the community can come together to create, learn, and enjoy dance!

Jordan River Crossing

Jordan River Crossing is a barbershop quartet based in Bloomington, IN where are all four members are also active in the Sounds of Indiana Barbershop Chorus. The current members of the quartet have been performing since last summer and are thrilled to be a part of Arts Fair on the Square. This past spring, the group competed in the Cardinal District Quartet Competition and was named the 2014 Cardinal District Novice Quartet Champion. Thomas TIggleman (Tenor), an audivisual professional, Stephen Chambers (Lead), a medical professional, Joe Grimme (Baritone), a Music Educator, and Daniel Lentz (Bass), a PHD Opera student, make up the group. Singing everything from barbershop and gospel to doo-wop, the group also has two active arrangers who challenge the group with new sounds. JRC hopes we can bring you some music that you will remember and be singing to yourself on the way home.


 

Dark Side Tribal

Dark Side Tribal is a community of American Tribal Style® dancers in Bloomington, IN. As a Fat Chance Belly Dance® Sister Studio they are committed to spreading the joy and sisterhood of this improvisational style of belly dance. Dark Side Tribal is celebrating its 12th year as a troupe. With 9 currently active members, and 7 alumni on both coasts, Dark Side Tribal is proud to be a Bloomington original! Dark Side Tribal teaches weekly classes in Bloomington and would love to share their passion with you! Come on the dark side. We have cookies!

Sarah Cassidy

LOVES: musical theater, dance, poetry, hot chocolate, drag queens

 

Sarah wrote her first song in her bedroom at the age of 14, "Who Are You Gonna Be", and performed it that year at her high school. She fell in love with songwriting and now performs a wide range of original folk rock compositions on guitar, ukulele, and piano around Bloomington, IN. She attributes her source of inspiration to the music taste of her mother, who showed her at an early age Alanis Morissette, Joni Mitchell, Jewel, and Jack Johnson. After recently graduating from Edgewood High School, where she was a proud 4-year member of the advanced show choir Music Warehouse, Sarah will be attending Indiana University to double major in Arts Management in Music and Theater & Drama as she continues to write, produce, create, and share her art.

Cookies and Canvas

As the sponsor of this year’s Art Center North for the sixth year, the organization Wine and Canvas will be featuring Cookies and Canvas painting workshops throughout the day. Workshops with an experienced artist will be held every hour. Stop by the Art Center East to bring out your inner artist! Wine and Canvas also offers workshops throughout the year at their studio at 135 North Gates Drive for adults and children. Their talented instructors guide you step-by-step through creating your very own work of art!
